Keeping agriculture thriving for a new generation
Agriculture is big in Tulare County. So big that the high school district’s single ag farm has over 1,000 students enrolled from three high schools. This 90-acre site has livestock, a dairy operation, and field and row crops, but the old classrooms and labs were not functioning well for the students or teachers. We designed a new building that added four fully equipped science labs and two new classrooms, as well as a teacher workroom and prep space and director’s office. The remodeled entry now has a stronger public presence and affords the site greater security 24/7. Exterior spaces were designed for outdoor instruction, with power and water hookups. The project came in under budget, and promises to help keep agriculture alive in Tulare County for decades to come.
