OROSI HIGH SCHOOL RECREATION COMPLEX
SIZE: 36 Acres
Team sports nirvana
When Orosi High School realized it needed another baseball field and another softball field to accommodate its varsity and JV teams, a fantastic community idea was born. Use the 31 acres adjacent to the school and create more than school ballfields—build a first-class, multi-sport facility that the whole community can enjoy. The new complex added one baseball, one softball, and one soccer field in Phase I, as well as parking lots, drought-resistant landscaping, a walking course, and a new concession/restroom building. Phase II will create a tournament-ready destination, adding four soccer fields, one baseball field, one softball field, a football field, basketball and volleyball courts, two more restroom buildings, expanded parking, a sound system, and lighting for night games. Now, with long-term vision and school-community partnering, Orosi has an enviable recreation complex with room for all to play.
