Roosevelt Elementary School’s campus-wide modernization reoriented the main entrance away from the neighboring middle school, reducing cross traffic and creating a safer, more accessible arrival for students and families. The redesigned entry now includes new administrative offices, a library, and a multipurpose building. Two new classroom wings add ten classrooms, while the former multipurpose building has been converted into three TK classrooms. A new kitchen improves efficiency by serving Roosevelt and four other schools across the District. Shaded play areas, upgraded courts, and new hardscape enhance the outdoor environment. Phased construction kept the school operational as old and new elements were brought together into one cohesive design.
