1979 | Teter Consultants was established in Visalia, CA by Mr. Glen Teter, SE, PE. Mr. Teter focused his structural engineering practice on providing exemplary services to local businesses.
1988 | Structural and Civil Engineer Byron Dietrich, SE, PE. connected with Teter Consultants and increased the firm’s structural engineering capabilities.
1990 | Mr. Byron Dietrich becomes a Partner to further strengthen the firm’s “client service” core value.
1996 | Teter Consultants launched its architectural design and consulting services when licensed architect David Roach joined as a Partner.
1997 | A Fresno office is opened to improve the firm’s architectural and structural engineering services to an ever growing geographic marketplace.
1998 | Teter Consultants began offering Electrical Engineering design and consulting services to its rapidly multiplying client base.
1999 | Mechanical and Plumbing Engineering services are added to the company’s growing menu of services with the addition of two licensed mechanical engineers.
2004 | A new Visalia office building (designed by Teter Consultant’s architects and engineers) opened in downtown Visalia. Teter Consultants changed its name to teter a+e to reinforce the combination of architecture and engineering under one roof.
2005 | Senior Partner, David Roach, retires to pursue his passion for flying airplanes full-time. Three architects are promoted to Partner status: Clay Davis, Robert Thornton, and Jamie Hickman.
2006 | teter a+e moved to a new office building with space three times larger to accommodate the company’s growth. teter a+e merged with The Taylor Group Architects which resulted in renaming the firm to TaylorTeter Partnership (TTP)
2012 | TTP further expanded the partner group with the promotions of 3 engineers: Justin Moreno, SE; Bryan Glass, PE; Scott Tunnell, PE. To avoid stringing together a long list of all the Partners, the firm returned to its roots and is now just TETER. At the close of 2012, TETER joins forces with Canby Architecture Studio, principal Stan Canby becomes part of the TETER Partner group. TETER opens an office in Bakersfield, California
2013 | Three more professional staff are promoted Partner status: Jenn Pike-Owens, Aya Shitanishi and Michael Auchter, PE.
2014 | “BE CONNECTED. BE PROFESSIONAL. BE INSPIRATIONAL. BE EXCEPTIONAL” is TETER’s Mission Statement. The new year celebrates 35 years of client service.
