TETER Architects + Engineers is preparing to open our next office in San Luis Obispo this summer and we’re looking for an experienced Job Captain to join our SLO Team!
Under the leadership of the SLO Project Manager, the Job Captain II will manage the day-to-day operations of assigned phases of a project, working closely with other members of the team to provide solutions of the highest quality and in accordance with firm standards. Assigned projects will primarily be in education and local government, but you may occasionally help another team with military, industrial, commercial, and healthcare projects, giving you the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of industries as you work toward becoming a licensed Architect.
The Job Captain II will be responsible for general architectural design, preparation of construction documents, and integration of drawings prepared by Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. He/she will perform both routine and specialized aspects of architectural assignments, demonstrating technical skills, experience and design judgment to transform conceptual designs into construction documents. The Job Captain II will also interact with clients as well as help develop and monitor project timeline and budget.
Compensation based on experience. Benefits take effect on the 1st of the month following the date of employment and include medical, dental and employee-paid vision plans. A cafeteria plan, 401(k) plans, supplemental insurance, and Wellness and Gym programs are also available.
